Privacy Policy
Last updated August 2026. This policy explains what information RC Autobody collects through this website and how it is used and protected.
Who we are
RC Autobody is an independent vehicle bodyshop run by Roy Cardno, based at Little Broomfield Farm, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, AB41 8QX. We are the "data controller" for the personal information described in this policy.
You can contact us about this policy by email at hello@rcautobody.co.uk or by phone on 01467 000 000.
What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us we collect: your name, email address and phone number; details about your vehicle (make, model, registration where given); the areas of damage you mark on the vehicle diagram; photographs of the damage you upload; and any notes you choose to send us.
If you telephone, email or visit the workshop we keep the details you give us so we can respond and carry out the work.
How we use your information
We use your information to assess the damage, prepare and send you a quote, carry out agreed repairs, invoice for completed work, and contact you about your enquiry or booking.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use your photographs for marketing without asking you first.
Lawful basis
We process your information because it is necessary to respond to your enquiry and to perform a contract with you (your repair), and for our legitimate interest in running and keeping records of the business.
How your information is stored
Quote requests and uploaded photographs are stored securely on access-controlled servers. Damage photos are kept in private storage and are only visible to RC Autobody staff through the secure workshop dashboard.
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as needed to manage the work, meet warranty commitments and satisfy tax and accounting requirements, after which they are deleted.
Who we share it with
Your information is only shared where needed to run the service: our secure hosting and email providers process it on our behalf under contract, and we may share details with your insurer where you ask us to for a claim. We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties unless required by law.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed to keep staff signed in to the secure dashboard. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page.
